THIN WHITE LINES

Underground punk rock band 'Thin White Lines' have put the finishing touches on their debut release 'The Silent Voices EP' and are now poised to throw their original, grungy sound and high energy live show out into the world. The EP was officially release on the 21st February, 2011 to wide spread acclaim and are looking to push forward with a compelling sense of enthusiasm.

The recording of this EP coincided with several tour dates away from home giving the band an incredible taste of professionalism, fitting in both recording extensively and cramming four people and an entire back line into one station wagon for various road trips. The band has progressed an impressive amount through the experience and are hungry for a taste of bigger and better things.

The band was the brainchild of singer/songwriter Alex Ward, bassist Ben Wright and drummer Ryan Thomas. All tired of the music they had been previously creating and eagerly wanting to create something heavier with a more punk feel and emphasis on an explosive live show. The three piece gigged sporadically around Auckland city writing their first bundle of songs. The addition of James Dimick on drums and the move to lead guitar and back up vocals for Ryan Thomas created an unpredicted amount of chemistry for the band. Amazed with the sound created, they rushed into the studio and 2 days later completed all the tracking of their first EP. A month or so later it was self-mixed by Alex Ward, mastered by David Edtmaier and ready for release. James Dimick is now residing in Australia's Gold Coast and the other three are in the planning process of a permanent move to Australia to keep the music alive. These are incredibly exciting times for the four piece who aren't going to let anything stand in their way of moving onto bigger things.
