WELCOME TO THE NUMB

"I'm not only very impressed with your songs, vocals, melodies and harmonies but also how well recorded and produced it is! I think Welcome to the Numb is the most talented band and has the most potential of any band I've come across! I hope that somehow we will get to work together...I love your band!"...Ron Nevison.

It's not very often a band can boast a compliment of mass proportions like the compliment made to WTTN by renowned Hollywood producer Ron Nevison. Venison's credits include The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Oozy Osborne, Bad Company, and Barbara Streisand, Jefferson Star ship, Chicago, Styx, Heart, Damn Yankees, Thin Lezzy and more. In 2010 Nevison received a "Star" from The Hollywood F.A.M.E. Awards in honour of his lifetime achievement in music production. Ron Venison's quote on Welcome to the Numb gave the band a great confidence to push their creative boundaries on their debut album ‘Songs for Sleepwalkers' which was released in 2010. WTTN's debut album demonstrates their take on dark rock. Purposeful and confronting yet highlighted with colourful melodies and abundant harmonies.

Welcome to the Numb was formed in 2007 around the nucleus of writers/producers Dave Jones (guitar/vocals) and Jami Nash (drums/vocals) who write music that at times not only pushes the boundaries with confrontational topics, but also gives a difference musically, from the mainstream.
Since the conception of the album the band has welcomed aboard two more members Jake Turner (guitar/vocals) and Adam Anderson (bass/vocals) and is now gigging frequently around Melbourne.

The Australian rock band's first ever song ‘Forgive' reached number 4 and remained top 10 on Australia's Triple J's Unearthed chart for a month. Since then the band has gone from strength to strength signing a worldwide distribution deal with Granville records (Canada) in early 2010, reaching number 22 in the USA on the alternative chart on Amazon.com  with their song ‘Flood' and reaching the playlist of Sirius Satellite Radio in the USA with their first single ‘In This Memory'. In This Memory also hit number 1 on Clear Channels heart Radio in America. WTTN scored the soundtrack for the coverage of the Australian annual Finke Desert Race which air's in Australia on channel 10 ONE HD! Following up the release of their first single Welcome to the Numb completed their music video clip for ‘In This Memory', which has been played on the Australian Music T.V show's ‘Rage' and ‘Channel V Music', and have released their new interactive website at www.welcometothenumb.com. Recently WTTN received a rave review of their debut album on the popular US online mag 'MusicPlayers' (http://www.musicplayers.com/reviews/CD_DVDs/2010/1210_ListeningTo.php) and won a $35,000 music video clip, courtesy of Embassy Entertainment, after a battle of the bands competition in Australia called ‘Stage to Screen'.

Welcome To The Numb are now ready to take their next step by securing support shows with major touring acts and garnering the attention of not only music lovers but also their peers!
