NINJA MONKEY
Ninja Monkey is a band from the Hawke's Bay in New Zealand, playing original pop/rock music. Their sound is fresh and upbeat with ripping guitar licks and strong female vocals.
Having debuted in May 2010, at Napier's iconic Cabana Hotel, Ninja Monkey hasn't stopped to take a breath. They have become a local favourite, playing regularly at muso nights, opening for local and touring bands (including Tiki Taane, Dane Rumble, Ivy Lies, Mile High, Invader Cain, Decortica, Hera Hjartardóttir, House Of Mountain, Sleeping Dogs, Engine Three Seven, Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill!, Valve and many more), and are now headlining their own gigs.
Wowing audiences with their unique pop rock sound, Ninja Monkey go from strength to strength with each new song they compose and are now transporting their songs from stage to CD with the release of their debut EP. The EP was release in April 2011.
Ninja Monkey have played gigs in Auckland, Wellington, Palmerston North and many in the Hawkes Bay area. A national tour is planned for the end of the year, to support the release of their second EP, which is currently in pre-production.
