Matt Banting wins King of the Groms!
The winner of the King of the Groms 2010 is Matt Banting (AUS). The two finalists battled out the final, pulling off some awesome moves on the 3-4 foot clean waves that came through at Les Bourdaines. With good scores coming through from both surfers, it was Matt Banting who impressed the judges the most with some great combinations and managing to take more waves than Brazil's Filipe Toledo.
After a whole day reserved for the King of the Groms, kicking off at 11.30 this morning, the quarters, semis and the final were ran back to back with the Australian taking the title. Big swell is on the horizon for tomorrow, next call for the Quiksilver Pro France 2010 is at 7.45am.
