The Quiksilver Pro France, the only French round and the first European event of the ASP world surf championship blends in with the dunes: Officials of the ONF (Forests National Center) will be on site the busy days, to ensure the protection of these fragile areas.
On site, you will find dry toilets, reusable cups and selective waste bins. All waste will be recycled through selective sorting in collaboration with the Aremacs Association, who will help ensure that each piece of sorted trash collected during the event is properly recycled. Quiksilver is also committed to reduce plastic waste by promoting the use of water fountains and reusable containers over individual water bottles and throwaway containers. In addition, local's caterers are promoted. It is Nory Boy from Soorts-Hossegor who will be preparing the lunch meals and the dinners will be provided by the Surfing from Seignosse.
Ea Juices will offer breakfast and natural fruit juices during the day.
In order to reduce the event's environmental footprint, a carsharing website (http://agenda.covoiturage.fr/sport/791-quiksilver-pro-france) is available to the public and a free shuttle that serves Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse.
