Holland: Quiksilver King of the Groms
On Monday the 1st of June, it was the second edition of the Northern European qualifyer of the King of the Groms.
More than 20 kids under 16 showed up to compete against each other in small & windy waves. 16 year old Achile Kindt, a Belgian Quiksilver grom, went home with a ticket for the European final in Zarautz. His 11 year old nephew Arne was the revelation of the day and became fourth. Thanks to Quiksilver Germany, several young German surfers showed up to show their skills for the Benelux and German media.
Achile Kindt, 16 year old Belgian Quiksilver grom, just experienced the most fantastic weekend of his life. On Saturday 30/5, he was the best during the Belgian surfchampionship for grommets. 1 day later, he became first at the Belgian surfchampionship longboard for men. And finally on Monday, he won the Northern European qualifyer of the King of the Groms!
